After the part and the material have been created, a composite layup section is created.
The composite layup editor is used to create plies and assign materials and orientations to these plies.
Switch to the Property module.
Create a datum coordinate system (Tools > Datum) using the Datum CSYS - 3 points Method with 0, 0, 0 as the origin, 0, 1, 0 as the X-axis point, and -1, 0, 0 as the X-Y plane point.
Create a new composite layup by selecting Composite > Create. Name the layup Plate_Layup, set the Initial ply count to 24, and choose a Solid Element Type.
In the Edit Composite Layup tool, choose the entire plate as the Region, select Tutorial_1 as the Material, enter 1 as the Element Relative Thickness, and enter the Rotation Angle for each ply based on the layup, [45/0/-45/90]3S.
Select the datum coordinate system created in Step 2 as the Layup Orientation.
