About Creating a 2D or 3D Section or a Live Section View Workflow

1	Draw a section line and mark	The section line defines the extents of the section (its width, height, and length) to extract from the building model for 2D, 3D, and live section views.
2	Create a 2D or 3D section or a live section view	Create a 2D or 3D section by selecting the section line and the objects to be included, and generate a section. Live section views are created from the section line. All objects in the drawing are automatically included.
3	Make changes to the section or the building model	You can edit the section line and the section object to refine the appearance of the objects.
4	Update the section	Update sections to apply changes you made to the section line, the section object, and the building model. You can also globally update all sections within a project or a specified folder all at once.
