To Link Data in a Data Extraction Table to a Spreadsheet
On the Refine Data page of the Data Extraction Wizard, click Link External Data.
In the Link External Data dialog box, under Data LInk, click the Launch Data Link Manager button.
In the Data Link Manager select Create A New Excel Data Link.
Enter a name for the data link and click OK.
Click the [...] button to browse for the
.xls
or
.csv
file to link to.
In the New Excel Data Link dialog box, select a link option (whole sheet, range, or Excel named range), and click OK.
Select the newly created data link in the Data Link Manager and click OK.
In the Link External Data dialog box, under Data Matching, specify the columns (Drawing and External Data) to link.
Click Check Match. If an error displays, see Data Matching Validation.
From the Select External Data Columns to Include, select more Excel columns to add to the extracted data.
