MODEL (Command)

Switches from a named (paper space) layout to the Model layout.

Access Methods

When a viewing a layout, enter model at the command prompt or click the Model tab below the drawing window.

Summary

On the Model layout, you can create drawings in model space. The Model layout automatically sets the TILEMODE system variable to 1, and you can create model viewports to display various views of your drawing. Once you have completed your drawing, you can choose a named (paper space) layout to begin designing a layout environment from which to plot.
