To Resolve External References (Xrefs) while Sharing Drawings Between Mac and Windows

When main drawings are on local machine and references are on server, you need to configure AutoCAD with Project path in both Windows and Mac machines.

To configure project paths on Windows:

1. Click Application buttonOptions
2. Click Files tab in the Options dialog box.
3. Click Project Files Search Path and click Add.
4. Click Browse and add the path to the reference files.

To configure project path on Mac:

1. Right-click the drawing area and choose Preferences.
2. Click Application tab.
3. Click Project Files Search Path and click (+) to add a new project.
4. Click Action menu Change Path and add the path to the reference files.

In the main drawing, set the Projectname sysvar to Project1. This value is saved in the drawing file.
