To Redefine Viewport Boundaries for Detail Views

1. In the drawing area, right-click and select Edit View.
2. Select the view to edit.
3. In the Edit Drawing View dialog box, select Redefine Boundary.
4. Click OK.
5. You can redefine the boundary by selecting a centerpoint if you want a circular boundary, or on the command line, entering e, p, r, or s to create an elliptical, polygonal, or rectangular boundary, or to select a closed clipping curve boundary.

6. To redefine the boundary as an ellipse

   1. In the command line, enter E.
   2. Specify the center point for the elliptical area.
   3. Specify the radius of the X axis or specify a value for the diameter.
   4. Specify the radius of the Y axis or specify a value for the diameter. The boundary is redrawn in an elliptical shape.
   Note:

   If the viewport border is visible, the border shape can be tweaked by grip editing and stretching the border.

   To redefine the boundary as a polygon

   1. In the command line, enter P.
   2. Specify the start point of the polygon area.
   3. Specify the next point.
   4. Continue to specify points until you create the polygon shape you want.
   5. Press ENTER. The boundary is redrawn in the polygon shape.

   To redefine the boundary as a rectangle

   1. In the command line enter R.
   2. Specify the first corner of the rectangular area.
   3. Specify the opposite corner. The boundary is redrawn as a rectangle.

   To select a closed clipping curve as the boundary

   1. Select a closed clipping curve to define the detail area. The boundary is redrawn using the closed curve.
