To Create 1-axis Chain Dimensions

1. Click Home tabDimension panelPower Dimension drop-downMultiple Dimension. Find
2. In the Automatic Dimensioning dialog box, Parallel tab, from the Type list select Chain.
3. Verify that the Display dimension text editor for every dimension check box and Both Axes check box are cleared.
4. Click OK.
5. Select the objects to dimension, and press ENTER.
6. Specify the first extension line origin (1).
7. Place the dimensions horizontally or vertically (2).
8. Press ENTER.
