AMSMIGRATE (Command)

Migrates AutoCAD Mechanical objects (of drawings created with versions of AutoCAD Mechanical that did not support mechanical structure or drawings created with the structure option disabled) to mechanical structure.

Summary

This command is a generic migration tool that uses the AMSMIGRATE application programming interface (API). The API ships with another sample application, written in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). See the API documentation for details on how these samples use the AMSMIGRATE API.

Note:

1. This command is not available unless you explicitly load the file am_migr.arx using the ARX command.
2. If you construct your own migration tool, you will be able to exploit your company specific naming conventions to automate the migration process beyond the capabilities of a generic migration tool.
