Vario part libraries were used in early versions of AutoCAD Mechanical. If you want to use content from a Vario part library in the current version of AutoCAD Mechanical, you must migrate the library first.
AutoCAD Mechanical provides a command name AMCONTENTLIBMIGRATE to migrate vario part libraries.
In older versions of AutoCAD Mechanical, you had to use a tool known as the Val-Editor to customize standard parts. This customisation were saved in a file type identified by the *.val file extension. To use these files in the current version of AutoCAD Mechanical, you must migrate the val files first. After you migrate the files, you must copy them to the corresponding location (as where they were in the previous version) in the current version of AutoCAD Mechanical.
AutoCAD Mechanical provides a command name AMVALMIGRATE for this purpose.
