Create a dynamic reference from a surface definition to the survey points and figures in a survey query.
You can add a dynamic reference from a surface definition to the survey points and figures that are included in a survey query. If the survey points and figures are modified in the survey database, the changes are propagated to the surface when you:
- Refresh the surface.
The surface is then marked as out of date.
- Rebuild the surface.
Note: The option to add the survey query results to a surface as a dynamic reference can only be used for survey queries that are saved to a survey database. It cannot be used when the <Active Query Builder Query> is selected in the Add Survey Query Results to Surface dialog box.
When a reference is created, the points and figures appear in the drawing area and in the Prospector in the following locations:
- The Surfaces collection, in the applicable [Surface Name ]DefinitionPoint Survey Queries collection
- The Surfaces collection, in the applicable [Surface Name ]DefinitionFigure Survey Queries collection
