About the CivilViewSurfaces Material Definition

The material IDs in the VSPCFG file relate to specific channels in the standard Civil View material definition, CivilViewSurfaces.

The VSPCFG file allows subassemblies, link codes and surface names to be assigned to specific material IDs in 3ds Max Design. These material IDs relate to specific channels in the standard Civil View material definition which is automatically applied to all imported surface geometry. This material definition is known as the CivilViewSurfaces material.

The following table provides an overview of the standard CivilViewSurfaces material definition in Civil View, and indicates what you can expect to find on each individual channel of the material.
