You can specify the X and Y coordinates for a point by identifying a station along the parent alignment of the profile view.
Specify the alignment station and the point elevation either graphically or numerically.
- When you are prompted to enter a point in a command, do one of the following:
- Enter 'stae.
- Activate the transparent command toolbar and select .
- If the main command is not a profile layout or profile view label command, select a profile view.
- In plan view, select an alignment.
- Specify a station on the alignment by either entering the station value or clicking a point on or near the alignment in plan view.
A selection marker displays the current location on the alignment.
- Select the profile view again.
- Specify an elevation in the profile view by either entering an elevation value or clicking a point in the profile view.
In the profile view, a selection marker displays the current elevation. The station location is held at the station you selected.
- Do one of the following:
- Enter another station and elevation.
- Press Esc to end the transparent command.
