To Purge Unused Styles From a Drawing

You can remove unused styles from the current drawing.

You may need to run the Purge command more than once to remove all unused styles from the drawing.

Unused parent styles cannot be purged until unused child styles are purged. The first time you run the Purge command, the unused child styles are removed. The next time you run the Purge command, the unused parent styles are removed.

  1. This command works on the current drawing. If you have multiple drawings open, click View tab Windows panel Switch Windows to select the current drawing.
  2. Click Manage tab Styles panel Purge.
  3. Use the Style Purge Confirmation dialog box to control which styles are purged.
