To Work With the Import Survey Data Wizard

In the Import Survey Data wizard you have options for importing field book files, point files, points from the drawing, or Survey LandXML files. Importing data using this method creates an Import Event.

1. Click Home tabCreate Ground Data panelImport Survey Data Find.
2. On the Specify Database page, select an existing database or click Create New Survey Database.
3. On the Specify Data Source page, select one of the following options:
   • Field Book File
   • LandXML File
   • Point File(When you import a point file, you must specify or create a point file format.)
   • Points From Drawing
4. On the Specify Network page, specify a network or click Create New Network.
   Note:

   Click None if you are importing project points that you do not want associated with a network. This option is only available when you import points from a point file.

5. On the Import Options page, specify the import settings.
6. Click Finish.

An import event is created in the Import Events collection for the survey database.
