The floor of a new factory layout, or of an existing layout, can be converted into a solid slab using the following procedure:
- Start by creating a new layout or opening an existing factory floor layout.
On the ribbon, click Factory tab 
Options panel Create Solid Floor. The floor is converted into a solid slab. - Use the Thickness setting in the Floor Settings section at the top of the Floor/Grid Settings dialog box to change the floor thickness to a different value. This value may be changed at any time.
Note: The thickness of the solid floor is created in either metric or Imperial units, depending on the assembly template in use.
