Create single point rip in sheet metal part

Create a single point rip in a sheet metal part to flatten it.

  1. On the ribbon, click Sheet Metal tab Modify panel Rip .
  2. In the Rip dialog box, Rip Type drop-down list, click Single Point.
  3. In the graphics window, select the face of the sheet metal model to rip.
  4. Then select the point that defines the rip location.
  5. If necessary, in the Rip dialog box, in Rip Gap Value, enter a value that differs from GapSize.
  6. Specify whether to locate the Rip gap on the selected point, or offset to the right or left.
  7. Click OK, or click Apply to create the Rip and leave the dialog box open to create more Rip features.
