Import or Export parameters

You can import and export parameters from and to an .xml file, and export to component properties.

Import or export parameters to XML

1. Open the model that contains the parameters.
2. On the ribbon, click Manage tab Parameters panel Export to XML , or Import from XML .

   The Export to XML, or Import from XML dialog box displays.

3. For exporting, accept the location and File name as shown, or specify a new location and name for the xml file.

   Click Options, and click either Key Parameters Only, or All Parameters, and then click OK.

   Click OK again to export the parameters.

   For importing, use the dialog box to locate the .xml file that contains the parameters exported from the other model.

   If necessary, click Find to open the Find dialog box, and locate the xml file.

   Click OK to import the parameters.

Export model and user parameters to component properties

1. On the ribbon, click Manage tab Parameters panel Parameters .
2. In the Parameters dialog box, in the Export Parameters column, select the parameter you want to export.
   • To set the format for the exported parameter, right-click in the parameter row and click Custom Property Format.
3. Click Done.
4. To verify that the parameter is listed, click iProperties Custom tab.
5. Click OK.
