Create Freeform box

Creates a rectangular body on a work plane or planar face.

  1. On the ribbon, click 3d Model tab Freeform panel Box . If necessary, click the drop-down menu to access Box.
  2. Click a work plane, planar face or 2D sketch.
  3. Click in the graphics window to specify the base point of the box.
  4. Change and adjust the shape by:
    • Using the manipulators to adjust length, width and height.
    • Changing values for the length, width, and height in the input fields.
    • Changing the number of faces in the length, width and height direction. The more faces you add, the more control you have to manipulate the shape.
  5. Add symmetry in the X, Y, and Z in the length, width and height directions by selecting the respective checkbox in the Box dialog box.
  6. Change the size and direction by:
    • Selecting and moving the arrows in the graphics window.
    • Change the direction from single to both or from both to single direction by selecting the appropriate direction arrow in the Box dialog box.
  7. Click OK.
