Constraint Inference Scope dialog box

Selects constraints and reference geometry available for inference.

Access

Ribbon: Sketch tab Constrain Panel Constraint Inference Scope

Choose the scope of the geometry to use to infer constraints when creating new geometry.

Note:

• Constraint Inference Scope works only when Infer Constraint option is checked on in Constraint Settings dialog box in the Inference tab. With each option, you can infer constraints from any geometry by pausing the cursor over that geometry when creating new geometry.
• To prevent constraint inference while creating an object, hold down CTRL while sketching.

Geometry in current command

Constraints are inferred to the geometry created in the active command. This option is on by default.

All Geometry

Constraints are inferred to all active sketch geometry.

Select

Select the sketch geometry to which constraints are inferred.
