Refold sheet metal features

Refold one or more sheet metal bends or rolls relative to a reference face

Use these procedures on sheet metal models that have at least one unfold feature in the unfolded state. Add a refold feature to your sheet metal part browser.

Context menu selection method

• In the browser, right-click the Unfold feature to refold, and click Refold Feature .

The feature refolds (using the originally selected stationary reference), and the new Refold feature displays above the End of Folded marker.

Automatic Selection Options method

1. On the ribbon, click Sheet Metal tab Modify panel Refold .
2. In the browser, click the Unfold feature to refold. The originally selected stationary reference and bends are automatically selected for refolding.
   Note: Does not automatically select bends or rolls added while the End of Folded marker was rolled above the selected Unfold feature.
3. Optionally, click more individual bends or rolls to refold.
4. You can also select unconsumed sketches to refold.
5. Click OK.

General method

1. On the ribbon, click Sheet Metal tab Modify panel Refold .
2. Click a face or plane to use as the Refold reference.
3. Click individual highlighted bends or rolls to refold. To select all the geometry highlighted, use Add All Bends, and then use CTRL+click to remove bends or rolls from the selection.
4. Preview the refolded state, and add or delete bends or rolls as necessary.
5. You can also select unconsumed sketches to refold.
6. Click OK.
