Access
In the 
Open dialog box, select an .idw file and then click Options.
Defer Updates When selected, suppresses automatic update for the active drawing. Clear the check box to update the drawing automatically when the model changes.
File References
- Fast Open (Skip All) Opens a drawing quickly. No attempt is made to find or resolve any files referenced by the drawing. Once opened, the drawing behaves as though it had been opened with no file references present. You can open and save edits.
- Skip all unresolved files Defers the resolve action for files not found, and continues opening the specified file. An unresolved icon displays in the browser next to unresolved links. You can right-click the top browser node of a file containing unresolved files to initiate a Resolve File command. Clear the check box to resolve links on file open.
