Create sheet metal contour flange

Create a contour flange as a base feature in a sheet metal part.

Contour Flange is available only if an unconsumed open profile exists in your part.

1. On the ribbon, click Sheet Metal tab Create panel Contour Flange .
2. Click an open profile.
3. The flange material thickness previews.

   The flange material thickness is created along the selected profile towards the material of the selected edge. To specify that the material thickness is created away from the selected profile relative to the material of the selected edge, click the middle button (located under the edge selection box).

4. In Bend Radius, accept the default, or specify a bend radius if you prefer a bend that differs from the current sheet metal style.
5. In Extents, specify an extrusion distance.

   To set the extrusion direction relative to the profile sketch plane, click a Direction.

6. Click OK.
