Trim part and remove one side using Split

1. Start the Split command and in the feature dialog box, click the Trim Solid method.
2. Select the Split Tool, and then click the work plane, 2D sketch, or surface body to use as the split tool.
3. Click the direction method to indicate the side to remove.
4. Click OK.

Note: You cannot use Trim Solid to remove one side of a surface body. Trim Solid works only on solid bodies.
