Migrate files from Inventor 2011

Ensure components display correctly after migration from Inventor 2011.

  1. Before you migrate files created in Inventor 2011, create a project in the more current version of Inventor, and then activate the project.
  2. Specify the workspace for the new project to include the top folder which contains the top assembly folder and all the component folders.
  3. Open Task Scheduler, and create a migration task to specify the folder that contains the top assembly.
  4. Finish the migration task.
  5. In Inventor, open the top assembly.

The visibility of the assembly components is unchanged, and they display correctly.
