Image Assets dialog box lists all images used as image annotations in an Inventor Publisher document. You can edit and reuse these images. To open the Image Assets dialog box, click Home tab

Image Assets.
- Assets - Click to display the menu including Import Image Assets and Export Image Asset.
- Name - Displays the name of the selected image in the Asset area. You can change the name.
- Description - Adds a description for the selected image.
- Usage Count - Indicates how many times the image is used in an Inventor Publisher document.
- Keep image in library when annotation is deleted - Deleting or changing an image annotation does not remove the image thumbnail in Assets.
Export image asset
You can export image asset in one Inventor Publisher (IPB) documents and reuse it in the other IPB documents.
- Click Assets to open the drop-down menu.
- Select Export Image Asset.
- In the Export Images dialog box, type a name for the ipassets (Inventor Publisher assets files used for saving the images used as image annotations) file.
- Click Save.
Note: If no image are listed in the Image Assets dialog box, the Export Image Assets command is greyed.
Use Import image asset to reuse the image asset exported from the other IPB files.
- Click Assets to open the drop-down menu.
- Select Import Image Asset.
- In the Import Images dialog box, locates an ipassets file.
- Click Open.
Redefine the selected asset
You can change the images listed in the Image Assets dialog box.
- Right-click an image thumbnail and select Redefine Selected Annotation from the context menu.
- Browse and open the image you want to use.
Update the selected annotation
- Right-click an image annotation in the graphic window.
- Select Image Assets from the context menu.
- Right-click another image thumbnail.
- Select Update Selected Annotation.
- The selected image in step 1 is replaced with the image selected in step 3.
Delete an image
In the Image Asset dialog box, you can delete the images that are not referenced by any image annotation. To delete it, right-click the image and select Delete Selected Asset from the context menu.
Insert a callout or label image
- Right-click an image thumbnail and select Insert.
- Select Attached Image or Image to add a callout image annotation or label image annotation.
