To Configure Memory Use

AutoCAD Map 3D reserves 25% of the total physical memory (RAM) on your system for inserting images with the Raster Extension. If you require additional memory for your images, the Raster Extension uses a temporary swap file.

To configure memory for images

  1. In the Planning And Analysis workspace, click Insert tabImage panelangle-arrow.
  2. In the Raster Extension Options dialog box, select the Memory tab.
  3. To locate a drive for your temporary swap file location, click Browse under Temporary File Location, and locate a drive.
  4. To change the amount of memory reserved for inserting images, type a new value in the Memory Limit box.
  5. Click OK to accept the changes.

You must quit and restart AutoCAD Map 3D for these settings to take effect.
