AutoCAD Map 3D reserves 25% of the total physical memory (RAM) on your system for inserting images with the Raster Extension. If you require additional memory for your images, the Raster Extension uses a temporary swap file.
To configure memory for images
- In the Planning And Analysis workspace, click

.
- In the Raster Extension Options dialog box, select the Memory tab.
- To locate a drive for your temporary swap file location, click Browse under Temporary File Location, and locate a drive.
- To change the amount of memory reserved for inserting images, type a new value in the Memory Limit box.
- Click OK to accept the changes.
You must quit and restart AutoCAD Map 3D for these settings to take effect.
