After you link database records to objects in a drawing, you can highlight objects in the drawing that are linked to selected records in the database table.
To highlight drawing objects linked to a database record
- Open a linked database table in the Data View. See To Open a Database Table in Data View.
- In the Data View window, select a record.
- In the Data View, click menu .
Objects that are linked to the selected record are highlighted.
To clear the highlighting, enter regen on the Command line.
To set other Data View highlighting options
- Dynamically highlight linked objects – In the Data View, click menu AutoHighlight. When you select a record in the table, AutoCAD Map 3D automatically highlights linked objects.
- Dynamically zoom to linked objects – Make sure AutoHighlight is on. In the Data View, click menu . When you select a record in the table, AutoCAD Map 3D zooms to linked objects. You can change the zoom scale so that the linked objects take up more or less of the screen. In the Data View, click menu and enter a value.
- Dynamically add highlighted objects to the selection set – In the Data View, click menu .
