Create a Watermark Resource (Image) - Click File menu
New Watermark.
- In the Watermark Editor, under Source, select Image. Click Browse and navigate to the folder: C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Infrastructure Studio 2013\SampleData\Symbols. Select the image tree2.png.
Note: Watermark images must be .png files.
- Under Appearance, drag the Transparency slider to about 60%.
- Under Position, select Tile Watermark, and enter 100 pixels. Press Enter.
- In the Studio toolbar, click Save. Browse and select a folder, enter a resource name, and click Save.

Create a Watermark Resource (Text) - Click File menu
New Watermark.
- In the Watermark Editor, under Source, select Text. Replace the default text with text such as Copyright 2012 Autodesk. Change the formatting if you like.
- Under Appearance, drag the Transparency slider to about 50%.
- Under Position, select X/Y Positioning, and enter 10 pixels from bottom for vertical distance, and 10 pixels from left for horizontal distance.
- Under Watermark Preview, click Refresh to display the watermark in the correct position.
- In the Studio toolbar, click Save. Browse to and select a folder, enter a resource name, and click Save.

Add Watermark Resources to a Layer - In Site Explorer, double-click the Parcels layer definition to open it.
- At the top of the Layer Editor, click Watermarks (in blue text).
- Under Watermarks, click the Insert a New Watermark button in the toolbar. Browse to the folder where you saved your image watermark. Select the tree2.png image file (must be .png) and click Open. (Alternately, you can find the watermark resource in Site Explorer and drag it into the watermarks box.)
- Under Layer Preview (bottom section of the screen), click Refresh to display the watermark in the Parcels layer.
- If you want to, you can change the transparency or other settings. This affects only this instance of the watermark.
- Click the Insert a New Watermark button, and this time select and open the text watermark you created. Now two watermarks are listed for this layer.
- Under Layer Preview, click Refresh to view both watermarks in the layer.
