Upgrade to Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2015 from a 2009 or Later Release (Windows)

To upgrade from a previous release of Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise or Infrastructure Map Server, the repository must be upgraded using the following procedure:

  1. Stop the existing MapGuide Enterprise Server or Infrastructure Map Server, if it is running. To do this, open the Services applet. Select "MapGuide Enterprise Server" or "Infrastructure Map Server", and then select Action Stop.
  2. Open a DOS window and change to the previous release RepositoryAdmin directory. For example:
    • C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MapGuideEnterprise2011\Server\RepositoryAdmin
    • C:\Program Files\Autodesk\InfrastructureMapServer2012\RepositoryAdmin
  3. In the DOS window, run BackUpOfflineRepositories.bat. Check the output to make sure there are no errors.
  4. In the DOS window, run RestoreColdBackupRepositories.bat. Check the output to make sure there are no errors.
  5. In the DOS window, run RecoverRepositories.bat. Check the output to make sure there are no errors.
  6. Install Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2015.
  7. Stop the newly installed server, if it is running.
  8. Delete the "empty" repositories found at C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2015\Repositories.
  9. Copy the MapGuide Enterprise or Infrastructure Map Server previous release repositories found at:
    • C:\Program Files\Autodesk\MapGuideEnterprise<previous release year>\Server\Repositories
    • C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server <previous release year>\server\Repositories
    to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2015\Repositories.
  10. In the DOS window, change to the RepositoryAdmin directory C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2015\RepositoryAdmin.
  11. In the DOS window, run SetupRepositoryIndices.bat. Check the output to make sure there are no errors.
  12. Start Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server 2015
