You can analyze a network topology (sometimes called tracing) within predefined workflows or with the Network Tracer.
Use the Stop Condition Editor in the Workflows pane to specify a stop condition. You can use a predefined stop condition, or you can define a new one.
The Autodesk Infrastructure Map Server Administrator defines tracings and tracing conditions. You can see them if you defined a logical (network) topology.
Some data models (for example, in the Gas, Water, Wastewater, and Electric modules) have predefined tracings.
To analyze a network topology
If your Administrator defined any other tracings, they also appear on this shortcut menu. If a tracing uses a stop condition, when you select it the Stop Condition Editor is displayed. You can often tell which tracings use stop conditions by their names.
You can also start the Network Tracer from the Workflow Explorer by selecting an Analyze workflow.
Tracing templates are predefined tracing models (propagation) that are defined in the data model administrator.
Workflows vary, depending on the tracing template.
The administrator defines network tracing templates in the data model administrator.
The resulting features are highlighted in the map and listed in the Tracing Result dialog box.
All features under the selected item are highlighted. To remove the highlighting, click

To create a stop condition
If you do not enter a name, the stop condition is used for the current process but is not stored for later use.
If the network trace finds a feature of the selected feature class with the specified attribute, the network trace stops at that feature.
In the Stop Condition Editor dialog box, the list displays only the stop conditions that are not assigned to any tracing template.
To edit a stop condition in the Stop Condition Editor
Note that the Stop Condition Editor list box displays only the stop conditions that are not assigned to any tracing template.
