Setting Layer Editor Options

Control the default settings for size context and units used in the Layer Editor.

You can also specify which type of styles to use for labels, and for each geometry type: lines, points, and polygons. Enhanced styles allow you to combine text and symbols and create complex outlines and fills. However, enhanced styles cannot be edited with previous versions of Infrastructure Studio, or with certain custom applications. Conversely, you cannot edit standard styles when enhanced styles are in effect.

When you change the style of an existing layer or labels, only standard styles are available. There is no way to convert existing labels or layers to use enhanced styles: you must re-create the labels or layer and restyle it.

For new layers and labels, you can choose either enhanced or standard styles. The setting applies to all new layers you create until you change it again. Once a layer uses enhanced styles, it continues to use them unless you re-create the layer with a different styling option in effect.

Layers you import from AutoCAD Map 3D use the styling option that was assigned to them in AutoCAD Map 3D.
