You can use the Propagation options (Select > Select Using Constraints) or the Modeling Toolkit Selection Constraints to quickly select a group of components. These options use propagation, expanding your selection to other components on the same mesh.
To expand a selection
- Select an object.
- Set a selection mode.
Note:
Edge Loop and
Edge Ring options are only available when
Edge component selection mode is on.
- Do one of the following:
- In the main menu, select Select > Select Using Constraints and then select an option from the Propagation drop-down menu.
- In the Modeling Toolkit, select an option from the Selection Constraints drop-down menu.
- Ctrl + Shift +
-click in the scene and make a selection from the Selection Constraints menu.
- Move your cursor over the mesh to preview your selection.
- Make a selection.
You can click a single component, or you can select multiple components by marquee selecting an area of your mesh.
