A number of new features and enhancements have been implemented in this release, and are summarized in this document.
Before you run the product for the first time, you must have installed and be able to access the Autodesk Network License Manager.
Refer to the Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Adviser 2015 Installation Guide for detailed instructions.
The Network License Manager (NLM), installed on one or more servers, controls the distribution of licenses to users. NLM can be installed from the product installer, using the Tools & Utilities option. If an earlier version of NLM is already installed on the server, uninstall that version, and then install the new version into the directory where the old version was located. NLM must configure the license servers before any products can obtain licenses and start running, but NLM can be installed either before or after the products that will use it.
If you are unsure which NLM version you have, run "C:\Program Files\Autodesk Network License Manager\lmtools.exe" , then click Help->About to check.
After installing NLM, you will need one or more network license files. Each server requires a network license file, which you obtain from Autodesk. The license file authorizes the operation of a product serial number on the specific server or servers in your network. If you have a network license serial number, you may be able to generate the license file by following the instructions at http://registeronce.autodesk.com. Otherwise, contact Autodesk.
The Autodesk Application Manager is a desktop tool that helps you stay current with the latest updates for all your installed Autodesk applications, by delivering timely messages about new Service Packs, Hot Fixes, and other important files as they become available. Within the Application Manager you can get more information about each download. When you decide to apply an update, the Application Manager seamlessly downloads the files from the cloud, and installs them on your computer.
The Application Manager replaces the Live Update delivery system of previous releases. It is included in the installer, is selected for automatic installation when Autodesk products are installed, and starts automatically when you launch your product. The Application Manager can be opened by clicking the Application Manager icon in the system tray on the bottom right-hand notification area.
When running the Report Generation Wizard, you are provided with an option to save the report in html format, Word format or PowerPoint format. If you select Word or PowerPoint formats, ensure that the version installed on your computer is more recent than Word 2007 or PowerPoint 2007, which are not supported and will result in error messages.
