The Runner balance section result shows how the runner elements have been grouped into different sections, based on shape, dimensions, orientation and element type.
The runner balance solver groups the runner elements into different sections with similar properties, to ensure that there is only a single thickness per section rather than minutely different thicknesses on each element within a section.
In general, the diameters of runner sections, especially sections in which the axis is perpendicular to the parting plane, should be in descending order from the bottom of the sprue to the cavity. When this is not the case, it may be difficult to eject the runner system from the mold.
As far as possible, model straight runner segments as a single section with a single diameter - straight runner segments should not be broken into several sections with different diameters.
