Parametric Study

The new Parametric Study feature enables you to run a sequence of simulations, incorporating your own individual project specifications, to estimate the conditions that will result in the optimum molding setup. Use these conditions as a starting point for further, more detailed investigation.

The Parametric Study is a rapid method to create, run and compare a sequence of studies that includes all permutations of defined values from different, user-selected variables, or project parameters. The variables that are available to you depend on the mesh, analysis sequence and molding process that you have selected, and are sourced from the original study process settings, with some additional, limited geometric features. Select the parameters carefully; every permutation of the combination that you choose will be run, potentially resulting in an enormous amount of data.

Once execution of the parametric study is complete, the results are presented in tabular form, filtered to show the results that you have selected as being important to you.

To create a parametric study, right-click the Optimization option in the Study Tasks pane, and select Parametric Study.

In the Parametric Study Builder dialog that opens, select:
Note: If you choose the option to keep the generated data associated with the sequence of studies, a large amount of data will be attached to the active study
