Setting pressure loads

When applying elemental loading conditions to a part, the element(s), direction of the load (force), and the magnitude of the load must be specified.

1. If you want to use a local coordinate system when setting the loads, first define and activate the local coordinate system.
2. Click (Boundary Conditions tab > Constraints and Loads panel > Loads > Pressure Load).
3. Select the required elements on the model where you want to set the load(s).
4. Enter the pressure to apply to the selected element(s). A positive pressure indicates the pressure is being applied to and out of the top (positive) side of the element. A negative value would indicate the pressure is normal to the bottom (negative) side of the element.
5. Click Apply. The elemental load should now be applied to the model.
6. Click Close to close the dialog.
