Starting the batch queue

The batch queue allows you to submit a sequence of analysis jobs and start (or run) them at a later time.

You can start (run) a batch queue directly from the Job Manager, as indicated in the instructions below. This topic assumes you have first specified the process settings for the analysis sequence.

  1. Click Job Manager (Home tab > Analysis panel > Job Manager). The Job Manager appears.
  2. In the Studies pane, click on the study that you want in the batch queue. The study is highlighted and the analysis properties attached to the study will appear in the Job Preview pane.
  3. In the Job server pane, select Batch Queue .
  4. Click Submit >> to move the job(s) to the Batch Queue . The Jobs attached to the study appear in a batch queue dependent on their Default job priority level, set in the Properties dialog.
Note: Jobs submitted as Priority Jobs take precedence over jobs submitted to the batch queue and reduce the number of jobs that can run simultaneously in the batch queue.
Tip: You can also move a job(s) into a Batch queue by clicking on a Study and dragging it on to the relevant batch queue.
  5. Click the Batch queue, and then click Run/pause batch queue. The batch queue will now start running in sequential order, with a labeled attribute of Running or Scheduled.
Tip: Another way to run a batch queue is to right-click the desired queue and select/deselect Run batch queue.
Note: The number of jobs that can be run simultaneously depends on the availability of licenses on your license server. Each reserved license allows three simultaneous jobs, however if the Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Synergy - User Interface is running this limit is reduced to two jobs for the first reserved license.
