If you have installed Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight - Solvers on a remote computer separate from the one that hosts Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Synergy - User Interface, you will need to ensure that the two computers can access one another. You will need Administrator rights on your computer to do this.
- Open the Windows Firewall
- Open the Exceptions tab and click Add Port.
- For Windows 7 systems, this is accessed after you click Allow a program or feature through WIndows Firewall, then click Change Settings.
- Enter a unique name for the port, that you will recognize when you search for it while setting up the Job Manager.
- Ensure TCP is selected, enter 20329 as the number for the TCP port, then click OK.
- Repeat the steps, adding a new port and giving it a new name.
- Ensure that UDP is selected, enter 2092 as the number for the UDP port, then click OK.
- Click OK again to exit the dialog and return to the control panel.
