Configuring the Windows Firewall

If you have installed Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Insight - Solvers on a remote computer separate from the one that hosts Autodesk Simulation Moldflow Synergy - User Interface, you will need to ensure that the two computers can access one another. You will need Administrator rights on your computer to do this.
  1. Open the Windows Firewall (Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall)
  2. Open the Exceptions tab and click Add Port.
    • For Windows 7 systems, this is accessed after you click Allow a program or feature through WIndows Firewall, then click Change Settings.
  3. Enter a unique name for the port, that you will recognize when you search for it while setting up the Job Manager.
  4. Ensure TCP is selected, enter 20329 as the number for the TCP port, then click OK.
  5. Repeat the steps, adding a new port and giving it a new name.
  6. Ensure that UDP is selected, enter 2092 as the number for the UDP port, then click OK.
  7. Click OK again to exit the dialog and return to the control panel.
