Assigning a rapid heating and cooling inlet location

Make sure you have modeled cooling channels, set the Analysis Sequence to include a Cool (FEM) analysis, and have selected a transient solver from the Mold temperature options in the Process Settings Wizard.

1. Click (Home tab > Molding Process Setup panel > Boundary Conditions) to open the Boundary Conditions tab.
2. Click on the drop-down menu associated with (Boundary Conditions tab > Cooling panel > Coolant inlets) to view the options.
3. Click Rapid Heating and Cooling Inlets.
4. Select the rapid heating and cooling inlet that you would like to use from the list of available inlets, then click on the entrance to the cooling channel that you will be using for rapid heating and cooling.
5. Click the cross in the top-right of the dialog to close the dialog.
