Configure how warpage results are displayed.
Dialog elements
- Color
- Select the plot to be displayed on the Warp Deflection result. The direction of the warpage in a particular coordinate, or the (coordinate independent) magnitude of the warpage can also be selected.
- Dataset
- Displays the contoured result to be displayed on the deflection plot.
- By default, the deflection result itself will be overlaid on the deflected part. You can select a different result to overlay on the deflected part by clicking the Browse button on the right.
- Browse (Deflection Plot Overlay)
- Select the result to overlay on the deflected part.
- Component
- Select which component of the selected coordinate system will be displayed by the color plot.
Change the Coordinate system type drop-down option to reveal component options pertaining to Cartesian, or Cylindrical.
- Reference coordinate system
- Select the reference coordinate system. This is fixed to Global unless a Local Coordinate System (LCS) has been previously defined.
Allows you to apply a reference coordinate system to the color deflection display of your model. For example, in addition to using a Global system, you can apply a Local Coordinate System (LCS), however, you need to create a LCS before applying it

- Coordinate system type
- Select between a cylindrical or Cartesian coordinate system to view the vector-based result.
Note: The cylindrical coordinate system is a three-dimensional system which essentially extends circular polar coordinates by adding a third coordinate (Z) which measures the height of a point above the plane.
- Scale factor
- Specify how to magnify the warpage result to enhance the plot visualization.
- Value
- Enter magnification value to improve the visualization of the warpage result.
For example, entering 10 will increase the warpage display by a factor of 10 on the model.
- Direction
- Select the direction for the scaled warpage result to be displayed on the model.
- Show anchor plane
- Display the currently active anchor plane on the model.
- Overlay with undeformed part
- Select to overlay the warpage result on the undeformed part, allowing a clear view of the predicted warpage.
