Use the Create Tetras tool to create tetrahedral (3-dimensional) mesh elements. The new tetra sits within the 4 nodes you select.
To use this tool, click
().
Note: Many of the mesh repair tools involve selecting or manipulating nodes. Ensure that the nodes in the part are visible and selectable by activating the required layers in the Layers pane.
Dialog elements
- Node 1/2/3/4 (Create Tetras)
- These text boxes specify the four nodes that are to be joined to construct the tetrahedral element.
For each text box, either enter "N" followed by the node number, for example N123, or select the node in the model display window.
- Inherit properties from neighbors (Create Tetras)
- Specifies whether the new tetrahedral element should be given the same properties as its neighboring elements.
Note: If you do not want the new element to have the same properties as its neighboring elements, de-select this option, click Change , and select the required property.
