Note: This dialog is for midplane models only, running an injection-compression molding process.
The Compression Surface Properties tab of the Compression surface dialog is used to specify the compression surface related properties of the selected elements or regions of type Compression surface.
Dialog elements
- Cross-sectional shape
- Select the type of cross-sectional shape you want to apply to the selected element(s).
- Frozen check for compression control
- Specifies whether compression stops if the analysis detects frozen elements.
Select Yes to stop the compression if frozen elements are detected. Select No to continue compression if frozen elements are detected.
- Occurrence numbers
- Occurrence numbers are used to specify the number of times that a given flow path is repeated in a model.
Enter the required occurrence number.
Important: If you intend to proceed with a Cool, Shrink, Warp or Stress analysis, you cannot use occurrence numbers. You must model the part in full.
