Parametric Study Builder - Variables tab

The process variables to be combined in the parametric study are selected in the Variables tab.

The variables that are available for selection depend on factors such as the molding process, mesh type, analysis sequence and material selected. The applicable variables for any given parametric study is displayed in the left hand panel of the Variables tab. At least one variable needs to be selected for a parametric study to be performed.

When a variable is selected in the left-hand panel, the right-hand panel is updated so that values relevant to that variable can be added. At least one value needs to be entered before another variable can be selected.

Important: When a green tick appears in the tab, there is enough information to proceed to the next tab of the Study Builder. Without a green tick, the analysis will not launch.
Values to investigate
Actual processing parameter values can be entered. The Current Value is the value that is specified within the Process Settings dialog. The Current Value is not included in the Parametric study unless it is one of the Selected Values entered.
To enter multiple values, each value needs to be separated using either a semi-colon or a space. For example, to specify Mold surface temperatures of 25C and 30C, enter "25;30" or "25 30".
A sequence of values can be easily defined by specifying a start and end value along with the number of steps in the sequence. By entering "20->35:4" the values 20, 25, 30, and 35 would be used for the study.
