Restoring an original anchor plane

Any anchor planes that you have created can be removed from the model.

At the beginning of a Warp analysis, the analysed part is automatically constrained to a plane where part deflection is measured from. This plane is defined as the original anchor plane.

You can define your own anchor planes using Warpage Visualization Tools. To access all existing anchor planes go to Visualize (Results tab > Warpage panel > Visualize), then in the Warpage Visualization Tools dialog, click Manage Anchor Planes.

Note: The Restore Original Position command does not actually delete the anchor planes and you can still access all defined anchor planes by clicking Manage Anchor Planes in the Warpage Visualization Tools dialog.
  1. Make sure you have a deflection (warpage) result displayed and an anchor plane created.
  2. Click Restore Original Position (Results tab > Warpage panel > Restore).
Tip: You can drag the anchor plane nodes about the part to update the anchor plane in the warpage result display. You can also increase or decrease the size of the anchor icons () by pressing and holding down the Shift key while dragging your mouse cursor either towards you or away from you.
