Mesh the Mold

In this task, you mesh the mold first with triangles, then with tetras.

1. Ensure that all layers are on.

2. Click Home > Mesh > 3D Mold Mesh.

   

3. Enter 16 mm for the External mold surface edge length.

4. Enter 4 mm for the Internal mold surface edge length.

5. Enter 12 for the Target number of nodes on circumferences of cylinders.

6. Click Mesh Now.

   Meshing take a few minutes.

   

7. When the meshing is done, uncheck the Mold External Triangles layer.

   

8. Inspect the mesh covering the cooling lines and part.

9. Click Mesh > 3D Mold Mesh.

10. Click Mesh Now.

    Meshing will take several minutes.

11. Right click on the Mold Tetras layer and select Display....

12. Set the Show as to Transparent, then click Close.

    

13. Save the study.
