Create gate manually by line

You can create gates different ways, depending on your preference and what other components you want to model at the same time. This task describes how to create a gate by simply assigning an end coordinate.

1. Click (Geometry tab > Create panel > Curve > Create Line).
2. Make sure that the First coordinate box is active, then click on the node on your model where you would like the plastic injected.
3. Click on the Second coordinate box to activate it.
4. Select Relative and enter the coordinates of the end of your gate.
5. Click next to the Create as box.
6. Click the New button in the Assign Property dialog and select the type of gate you would like.
7. Choose the gate shape, length and diameter from the gate dialog and click OK.
8. Click OK until all the dialogs are closed, then click Apply.
9. Click Close to close the Create Line window.
10. From the Study Tasks pane, right-click and select Generate Mesh. Alternatively, click (Mesh tab > Mesh panel > Generate Mesh).
11. Ensure that Remesh already meshed parts of the model is not selected.
12. Change the other options on the dialog as required and click Mesh Now.
