Solver message 104002

Message text

** WARNING 104002 ** CRIMS model has been invalidated due to change of a related parameter. Residual strain model is used instead.

Explanation

Ideally, the Corrected Residual In-mold Stress (CRIMS) shrinkage model should only be used if certain key solver parameter settings in the current analysis have the same values as were used in the correlation simulations that generated the CRIMS model coefficients. This message is displayed if the Use CRIMS setting on the CRIMS Shrinkage Model Coefficients dialog has been set to Only if solver parameters are consistent with CRIMS model, you have changed one of the key solver parameter settings, for example, a mechanical property of the material or fiber prediction parameters, and residual strain data is available for the material.

Resolution

For the most accurate shrinkage and warpage prediction, you should set the Use CRIMS option to Always (change solver parameters to be consistent with CRIMS model). If you want the CRIMS shrinkage model and your non-default solver parameter settings to be used, you should set the Use CRIMS option to Always (even if solver parameters are not consistent with CRIMS model). To edit the Use CRIMS option, select Analysis > Process Settings Wizard, click Advanced options..., then click the Edit... button associated with the Molding material option. Select the Shrinkage Properties tab, then click Edit model coefficients.
