Constant flux | A heat flux sensor measures heat transfer in a single direction, by measuring the temperature gradient between two thermopiles. The heat flux is proportional to the differential voltage registered. Constant flux provides a constant heat transfer. Enter the constant flux value in Wm². |
Thermocouple control | Because of the nature of the molding process, the temperature of the mold will cycle. All the items in this section refer to the temperature at which the thermocouple should turn on or off, in order to maintain a constant temperature. |
Switch off temperature | Enter the temperature at which the heater should be turned off, if the temperature rises too far. |
Switch off time | Enter a time, in seconds, to delay switching off the heater. |
Switch on temperature | Enter the temperature at which the heater should be turned on, if it drops too far. |
Minimum on time | Enter a time, in seconds, to delay switching on the heater. |
Thermocouple location | Specify whether the thermocouple is located at the heater nodes, or at other nodes. |
