Create Line tool

The Create Line tool allows you to create curves when you are in the process of creating a new model or adding to an existing model. To access this tool, click Create Line (Geometry tab > Create panel > Curves > Create Line).

The Create Line Create Line command is used to create a line between two coordinates that you specify. Simply click on the coordinates on the model for easy selection.

Dialog elements

Coordinate 1
Specify the coordinate position of the starting point of the line you wish to create.

Either click directly on the model, or type the coordinate position in the dialog input box (e.g.: 5 10 15).

Coordinate 2
Specify the coordinate position of the end point of the line you wish to create.

Either click directly on the model, or type the coordinate position in the dialog input box (e.g.: 5 10 15).

Note: Select Absolute if you wish to specify Coordinate 2 as an absolute xyz position, or select Relative if you wish to specify Coordinate 2 by its distance and direction from Coordinate 1.
Absolute or Relative

Allows you to choose whether Coordinate 2 will be located at the absolute specified position, or whether it will be located at a relative distance and direction from Coordinate 1.

Automatically create nodes at end points of curve
Select the check box to ensure that a node is created at each end of the curve, after the specified curve is created.
