The Compression pressure:XY Plot result shows the average pressure at the compression surface.
The part surface nearest the fixed plate is assigned the property Fixed surface; the part surface nearest the polymer charge is the Compression (moving) surface; elements on the side become the Side surface. The Compression pressure:XY Plot result shows the average pressure of the filled nodes on the part surface nearest to the polymer charge.
The Compression pressure:XY Plot is representative of the pressure on the moving surface (nearest to the polymer charge), during compression molding. You can look at the Compression surface property result to confirm which surface is the moving surface.
The shape of the Compression pressure:XY Plot will be similar to that of the Press Force:XY Plot. If the pressure is too high, this may be indicative of a potential problem and you may want to revisit your design.
